Philippians 4:9 “The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.“
“10 Now when Daniel knew that the document was signed, he entered his house (now in his roof chamber he had windows open toward Jerusalem); and he continued kneeling on his knees three times a day, praying and giving thanks before his God, [h]as he had been doing previously.”
Everyone raise your heads, open your eyes, and let us pray. Doesn’t sound too familiar does it? This probably does. Everyone bow your heads, close your eyes, and let us pray. But does scripture say you have to pray with your eyes closed? Would you ever pray with your eyes open?
Do you know God can give you exactly what you prayed for? Do you know He’s done that with people before?
What do the Gospels and prayer have in common? I’ll give you a hint. It starts with a J, and ends with an S. If you guessed Jesus, then you know I give really easy hints.
Has America ever asked you to pray for “her”? Me neither. So why do we hear the phrase “pray for America”? Like it’s a sick person coughing and sneezing in need of healing. Does America breathe air and bleed blood like the rest of us? This doesn’t make sense to me as a Christian.
